Barry Kearney's photo "Bravado" has been chosen as a semi finalist in the $50,000 Moran Contemporary Photographic Prize. Taken in Jan 2016 at Portsea Back Beach on Westernport Bay, 70kms from Melbourne, it shows 4 dramatic photos of a young boy knocked over by a huge wave, struggling in the water, and then escaping with his mother and sister. The 30 finalists will be decided soon, with the winner being announced in Sydney at Juniper Gallery on 26th October.
